Welcome to the Big Education Challenge!

What is The Big Education Challenge? It’s a £1m prize fund powered by Big Change Charitable Trust and Skild.

The program will support and reward bold ideas with the potential to transform education and learning in the UK. It will give both young people and experienced innovators the support and funding they need to bring their ideas to life and to show that a new way is possible.

The Challenge encourages submissions from people with ideas that are rooted in their own lived experience as it addresses why education and learning need to be transformed.

The program is open to two groups:

1) People aged 18-25, who can enter the Groundbreaker Prize, which identifies, supports, and rewards young people who want to challenge the status quo.

2) Established leaders with a track record of spearheading innovative projects or approaches with tangible social impact can enter the Gamechanger Prize. Their background or ideas need not be in education.

Prizes will be awarded from a pool of £1m. The deadline for entry is February 8, 2023. To learn more about this exciting challenge, click here!
