KaBOOM! Play Everywhere Challenge Update

The Play Everywhere Challenge is a national competition that has awarded $1 million in prizes to 50 winners across the U.S. who are committed to bringing play to everyday spaces, making play easy and available for kids and families.

The 50 winners were selected by KaBOOM! and their blue ribbon panel, which included leaders from the business, non-profit, urban planning, and arts sectors. The winners represent a breadth of creative, replicable, and fun ways to help more kids and families fit play into their everyday lives.

Eighteen projects have completed implementation, and are currently providing safe, innovative play opportunities for kids in their communities. All of the other projects are set to complete their installations by the end of June 2017.

The Downtown Slides project was the most recent launch.  On March 21, Naudy Martinez joined Mayor Rogero in Knoxville, TN to celebrate the ribbon-cutting for this new interactive space.

You can read more about these exciting projects by visiting the KaBOOM! Play Everywhere Challenge website.
