Cisco Announces Semi-Finalists!

On Tuesday, April 26, Cisco announced the Semi-Finalists in the 6th annual Cisco Global Problem Solver Challenge, which aims to recognize new business ideas that leverage technology for social impact from early stage entrepreneurs around the world.

The challenge offers $1M USD in prize money that will help accelerate the adoption of breakthrough technology, products, and services that drive economic development and/or solve social or environmental problems.

Out of thousands of submissions, 94 teams were selected to move on to the next round. Of these top teams, the Finalists will be revealed on July 5. The following day, voting begins for the People’s Choice Award, which gives the public an opportunity to select their favorite teams.
